My Online Literary Experiment: There will now be a short intermission…

How I lookI have the flu.

I am the last in my family to get it, so it was destined to happen. Which means that there is going to be a delay in Chapter 25 going up. That’s not to say, it isn’t ready. I feel it is 98 percent there; I just want one to two more read throughs and I need to be at tip-top mental and creative levels to do it. I mean, it’s the last chapter, right? I got to make it awesome…

So keep an eye on the blog, my twitter, and my Facebook page. I hope to have it up at some point this weekend.

The flu sucks.

  1. So sorry you’re ill. When I didn’t hear from you after my class sent the last email, I figured something was either very wrong or incredibly good to keep you away from your computer (for the record, I was hoping it was the “good” thing–like a multinational publishing contract. Hey, I dream big).

We’ll be praying for you and your family to get well soon. Keep warm, wear comfy clothes, and use this time as a great excuse to sit on the couch and watch well-crafted and entertaining Disney movies with your kids.

    Read you later,

    Marbeth

    • Oh, yes. Sorry. Tell your students I said hi back and enjoyed their e-mail a lot.

The only Disney my son wants to watch right now is Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Personally, the show makes me feel uncomfortable (I assume the children’s hospital in London that owns the rights to Peter Pan don’t get a dime from it) and it takes away too much the threat of Hook. Yeah, Hook is funny but he is also dangerous. He does kill people (his own men!) even in the classic Disney cartoon.

My kids are fine, we each took the flu in turn… I was just last.
